As a Financial Controller, you are part of the Operations Department and report directly to the Operations Manager. You work in close collaboration with Finance colleagues and other departments within the Country Office, as well as with the Finance Department at Global office to ensure effective coordination and alignment of financial and operational processes.
Lead and coordinate the preparation of quarterly financial forecasts and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and donor requirements.
Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the Country Management Team, Global office and funding partners.
Manage financial systems and oversee transactions involving multiple foreign currencies.
Monitor cash flow management and analyse variances to support the timely and accurate preparation of fund requests.
Supervise the budget monitoring process by reviewing and analysing actual expenditure against approved budgets.
Provide guidance and technical input to project teams during the development and review of budget proposals.
Monitor and track the expenditure of shared costs across multiple grants.
Coordinate internal and external audits and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
Serve as the first point of contact for management and finance colleagues in the Country Office regarding financial reporting, ensuring accurate and reliable financial representation of activities within the Country Office.
