The Global Flagship Advisor reports to the Global Flagship Coordinator and is part of the African Centre for School Leadership. You are part of and work closely with your direct colleagues within the flagship. Furthermore, you work closely together, with the Programmes team at Global Office, and the country teams relevant for the implementation of the Flagship’s global activities.
· As Global Flagship Advisor School Leadership in the African Centre for School Leadership, you lead and provide advice and technical support on the development of continental school leadership professional development activities. As an expert in School Leadership, you facilitate the development of the continental capacity development trajectories on school leadership and lead the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of such trajectories.
· You lead the implementation of global workstreams on knowledge sharing, development and dissemination for the flagship on school leadership.
· You build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders through the design and development of relevant and scalable projects within your flagship.
· You take up a variety of roles in the capacity development process of the partners according to the needs of the partner and particular situations and phases of the flagship;
· Where relevant and in coordination with Global Strategic Education Advisors , you offer advice, guidance and support to VVOB teams and partners tailored to the expertise domain for the flagship of which you are a part.
· You keep abreast with policy trends, new developments and latest research and thinking in education and international development by external and internal networking and share new insights with partners and VVOB colleagues.
